    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.cadforum.cz/forum_en/member_profile.asp?PF=165260">John Connor</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 12173<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 17.Jan.2017 at 19:35<br /><br />Open a new blank drawing in AutoCAD using the metric default template acadiso.dwt.&nbsp; Switch to a Layout.&nbsp; Use the Layout Manager to set your plotting parameters such as paper size, etc.&nbsp; When finished with that start creating your custom title block and border.&nbsp; Also add in any standard layers, text styles, linetypes, dimension styles, etc. that you would like to have available whenever you start a new drawing.&nbsp; When completed save the drawing as an AutoCAD Drawing Template (.dwt).&nbsp; The next time you start a new drawing select your template file as the starting point.&nbsp; From then on this template will be the default template file whenever you start a new drawing unless you select something different.&nbsp; Give your template file a unique name such as MyA3Template or whatever.<br>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.cadforum.cz/forum_en/member_profile.asp?PF=175428">philippe JOSEPH</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 12173<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 17.Jan.2017 at 07:52<br /><br />Hello kc13, you can make a template with or without A3.<div>You can make a template with a A3 inside in the model space or in the layout space by inserting the A3 file that I have uploaded.</div><div>If you insert it in the model space you will have to scale it to the scale of your object.</div><div>Then you explode it ONE TIME ONLY and have access to a double rectangle of 420 mm x 297 mm.</div><div>If you print it of the inside rectangle it will give you a scale 1/1 on you A4/A3 printer.</div><div>In your template,&nbsp;draw an example of each layer, dimension style, etc... as it's done in each of the 2 files uploaded.</div><div>Save it with the name that you want in the directory that you want and right click on it to do it "read only file".</div><div>Please tell us if this helped or not.</div>]]>
