(you can see the single Pixels by ZOOM in the DWG).<br>My example is:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; jpg -&gt;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 59 kb<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; corresponding DWG -&gt;&nbsp; &nbsp; 3.08 MB - to big to appload.<br><br>In case of interest contact me via www.black-cad.de<br>Regards<br>Jochen<br><br>www.ant-ares.de<br>]]>

Still not sure why it can't be inserted or attached somehow.<br>Wayne<br></td></tr></table><div>This doesn't make sense or match what appeared to be what your problem was in the first place.</div><div>Your first post was that your drawing wasn't "finding" the attached JPG from one computer to another, I think we helped you with that or at least explained what you had to do to make it happen.</div><div><br></div><div>Now you mention you want to send it out without the JPG?</div><div>Is that a second problem?</div><div><br></div><div>If that is the case, the best thing to do is to save your drawing to a folder you have for sending out drawings such as a "file transfer" folder, detach the JPG, save it and send it.</div><div><br></div><div>This keeps the JPG attached to your working drawing and you have a record of what you sent out.</div><div><br></div><div>:-/</div><div><br></div><div><br></div>]]>

By default AutoCAD looks in the same directory for reference files if no path is given or if it can't find it at a given path.</div><div><br></div><div>So there is no way around it, you need to keep the jpg available to the dwg, either in the same folder or a pre-defined folder structure using relative path.</div><div><br></div><div>We us a "Sheets" folder and an "Xrefs" folder within a project folder, and relative paths for everything.</div><div>So you can copy the folders to another directory, the sheets will find the xrefs.</div><div><br></div><div>HTH</div>]]>
