If it works the same as 2008 use the Sun Properties under the View\Render\Lights menu.

You will need to establish a north direction, global location and time of day and set the status to "on". AutoCAD will do the rest. If you want to finesse it you can adjust the light intensity, light colour and shadow type in the same dialog.

I hope this helps! AutoCADs rendering abilty can be tricky at best.

I want to make effects of distantlight in autocad 2009 32bit but there are no full shadow effect
