Hello Percassos, the version of the files are written under the tittle.
In case of a problem, you shouls ask a friend or a colleague with a more recent AutoCAD to do a "save as" + choose of the version for you.

I'm just looking for 2D blocks, Is there a defined section for the older blocks?
How do you know which ones are 2002 compatible, before downloading?
