    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.cadforum.cz/forum_en/member_profile.asp?PF=28209">mike1968</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 1388<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 30.Nov.2008 at 20:21<br /><br /><P =Ms&#111;normal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><SPAN lang=EN style="FONT-SIZE: 9pt; mso-ansi-: EN"><FONT color=#000000><FONT face="Times New Roman">Hello, new to the forum seems like this would be a good place to network and absorb knowledge from the more experience CAD operators.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </SPAN>I do need some advise right off the top, I’m 40 years old and currently pursuing a career change into this field.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </SPAN>A broad scope of my work experience covers four years military service, eight years as Electronic Technician four of those in the Navy.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </SPAN>The last five years I have been in sales from Insurance to Medical supplies.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </SPAN>Along the way have acquired two associate degrees one in Drafting 1991 and the other in Industrial Electronics 1998.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </SPAN>After I decided that I wanted to make a change, with no work experience and 18 years removed from my degree I am taking a second level AutoCAD course at a Community College as a refresher to help prepare me for this career step.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </SPAN>I do have a couple of job opportunities but my challenge is rewriting my resume.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </SPAN>It’s hard to come up with transferable skills from my work experience especially from sales.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </SPAN>I’m&nbsp;just looking for some advice or ideas on how I could use all this non related experience to my advantage?&nbsp; </FONT></FONT></SPAN></P>]]>
