Someone suggested that drawing files can be scaled for output. (see a previous post abbout scaling output)

I can't be the ONLY person who would like to do THIS.

Someone suggested a program from Autodesk that deals with DWG files. I looked at it. I didn't see anything about IPT files. Also if I want to be a computer programmer (the download is binary files that need to be compiled! Or some such nonsense!) I'd have taken classes.

Right now I'm wondering if Inventor is just NOT a program worth dealing with. (I'm using on an associates machine to see what it can do(Inventor 9) Right now it is more frustration than anything. AutoDesk loses points in my decision to purchase!)

There are other 3D programs out there.

Can ANYONE tell me how to convert IPT files to SOMETHING that can be actually used and manipulated in another format.

Now to see if any associates in town have Solidworks I can investigate!
