    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.cadforum.cz/forum_en/member_profile.asp?PF=353260">Kent Cooper</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 14613<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 13.Nov.2024 at 15:15<br /><br />It is certainly true that many such products are made with a total length of <i>more than twice the exposure</i> -- wood shingles as in Philippe's image, and asphalt shingles &#091;in the US, typically 5" exposure but 12" length&#093;, so that the back end of one extends <i>past</i> the exposure of the one on top of it, and partially under the <i>next</i> one above that.&nbsp; If the exposure were 8 units as in my earlier image, under this configuration it's more likely that the tile length would be more like 18 units.&nbsp; But the drawing procedure is the same:<div><img src="uploads/353260/Tiles2.png" height="173" width="305" border="0" /><br></div><div>I'm curious as to whether anyone actually makes a roof tile that's 1 unit x 10 units in cross-section.&nbsp; If so, I wonder about their details of installation.</div>]]>
