i understand that. the attributes are not locked and can be moved with the grip. my question is...is there a way to select the block then have the attributes or any object for that matter move and align along a polyline or line? Ok if this is going to be a permanent move for these attributes you will need to modify the insertion point. open the block with the attributes and then just create a new wblock with the new insertion point.  If the attribute was created and they were not locked in their position you can actually use the grip and move each individual attribute to where you need them.  If they are locked you will have to open the block with the attributes and unlock them.
