AutoCAD entities have no "names" (at least human readable names). You can use blocks, extended data, reactors or other ways to attach textual information to drawing entities. Hi

I need to link some information to several diferent polylines in the same layer. I will use this information later on 3d max, so i need that the information can be imported on 3d max.

Example: Layer A contains 2 polylines. I want to name one polyline "01" and the other one "02". I don't need them to be numbered, i just need to be able to set the name i want.

I know i can change its color, but i'd prefer to use some text, because it's easier to identify when you've got a lot of polylines. And i don't want to create a block for each polyline, because finally i'd have a lot of blocks in the file

Do you think it is possible this way?
