Well, Google has SketchUp for more than 3 years now. And there are no substantial changes on the CAD market related to it. SketchUp is great for occassional 3D modeling but I doubt that it will be ever widely used for the professional CAD design and drafting (2D drawings, parametrics, dimensioning, BOM, local standards...).
 
Autodesk has no product in the market where SketchUp dominates so Google and Autodesk are no direct competitors.

Yes it is true, Googleis competing in the business of Computer Aided Design. Their GoogleSketch up is getting more popular than ever and the CAD superpowerAutodesk can't stop it or buy them out ( Autodesk bought both 3ds Maxand Maya). Google has more revenue than Autodesk. So perhaps, Googleshould buy them out. What do you think? Who do you think will win?
