When you brought in your x-ref did you bring it in at a World Orientation... Did you move your World orientation in your original drawing? hi all....
 
i came across some problems after x-refencing some files...
1. in model view things look fine, but in paper view my hatch pattern is either gone or orientated is in a different angle or even a different hatch pattern.
