I would strongly suggest using the help function in AutoCAD when you are not sure of what to do.

I don't know which font that is, to many to choose from.

Hope that helps,
nameci

Just learning the basics.

Couplethings I can't figure out. I'm trying to replicate the drawing on thetop. I'm working on the bottom one. How do I get the 1/4" dimensionnumbering on either side of the 7" to line up like the top? What is thefont used on the top one, I can't seem to find it in autocad. Lastly, what is an easy way to make those angles in the insets? The only methodI could come up was to make to make the 1/2" deep inset at 90 degreeangles and then come back and draw a 1/4" box on either end. Then I'ddraw the diagonal line in the 1/4" box to make the angle and then erasethe lines not needed. Seems kind of tedious, just wondering if there isan easier way. Thanks.<span ="edited-wording">
