your problem is so friendly for a new user.....

 

okk.....OBJECT SNAP....... its a handy tool to improve drafting.....

how does it work?

 

- It's a cleaver friend of u while you are drafting if the OSNAP & SNAP tabs are turned on then it helps you to find out the nearest ---- endpoints, centre marks, perpenidular .....inersectn.......etc.. so insead of precising on your own that you are drafting clean and clear....it helps a lot....by joing the edgs...try it.......... i hope you will find is usefull as anything.......

 

okkk now Layer properties........

 

It's another verrrrryyy usefull aspect of CAD...... it allows you to .....

name a set of customized properties .....(colour, linetype, lineweight) it provides you a huge space to work freely.....

 

give the command....LA

thn create a new layer change those properties.....

apply....

okk now u r able to work instead of default white 0 layer ........ just drop down the layer list...select your named layer.... have fun.......

 

later you will find few very usefull terms related to layer properties.......

 

like ............    thaw, freeze, layer ON/OFF, layer LOCK/UNLOCK....etc.....

go through HELP....it can provide you through guidance
