He wants me to draw 2D parts for him so he can use it in autocad as blocks. (i.e. setting up supports in a side view construction building)

Now i'm much faster with sketching to scale in inventor and i'm quite rusty with autocad. Is there a way I could do the 2D sketches in inventor and send it to him in dwg so he can use it?

I tried started a new standard.dwg file from inventor then saving the COPY as autocad drawing. but when I open the file in autocad only the autocad template showed up, not the drawing.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? or is this even possible?

Thanks!
