I know a lot of people have benefited from using video tutorials to learn Inventor.  Especially if you can find one that starts with the basics.  There's one that has an index so you can look for the lessons you need if you want to review them.  Let me know if you are interested.  I know a few people who use it and I can get the title if you want me to.]]>
