Thanks for your input but actually my question is the question.
My client has no software on her end aside from Adobe Acorbat Reader.
Also, the drawings I have are enormous and scanning them in would be
cumbersome. She doesn't have Photoshop or Illustrator and she is too busy to learn those apps..
I will use SketchUp and then install DoubleCAD XT for her to use as a viewer.

The question isn't really what program should you use or what file type should you send to your client, but actually, what programs does your client have on their end? If they have Photoshop or Illustrator, they will be able to edit and mark up any type of file you send.

Just scan your hand drawn floorplan to jpg, tif or pdf and send it.
 
Also, Adobe Acrobat Pro has many features that allow the user to comment and mark-up pdf's.

Hello Everybody,
I'm an interior designer who has worked with AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup,
FormZ and TurboCAD, to name a few.
 
I'm currently in a situation where I need to translate a large floor plan from my hand drawing into a digital format that my client can view AND alter text or make comments upon.
 
I'm having a difficult time trying to decide what application to use for this task;
the application needs to be something my client can easily use for viewing the floorplan (she suggested drawing a diagrammatic plan in Powerpoint Confused).
 
Any ideas? I was thinking of creating the digital file, then making a PDF that she could use for making comments upon, but with the PDF you cannot erase.
 
Is there a solution for this? (If this is already a topic, please refer me)
