Author: HAWDesigner
Subject: 5343
Posted: 20.Feb.2011 at 14:56

margarita, it sounds like you have most of it under control already. It sounds to me like you want to use the Realistic Visual Style with a couple minor changes.

In the Visual Style Manager (command: [CMD]VISUALSTYLES[/CMD]) select the Realistic Visual Style, you can adjust the settings below to your liking. In the Materials and Color section, set your Material Display setting to "Materials and Texture". Then, in the Edge Settings section, set your Edge Mode to None.

OR, what I like to do is leave the Edge Mode to Isolines and just change the color of the Isolines to "ByEntity". This way they're kinda hidden.

Anyways, once you have the settings set, change the drawing to the view you want. If you're printing from modelspace, then just right-click on the Realistic Visual Style and select "Apply to Current Viewport".

If you're in Paperspace, then you need to double-click in an unlocked viewport, right-click on the Realistic Visual Style and select "Apply to Current Viewport". Do this as many times as you need for each view port on the sheet.

I hope this helps. Good Luck!!!

A side tip for using 3DOrbit: Instead of typing in a command to enter the 3D mode, just press and hold down your shift key while you press your mouse wheel and drag the mouse around to the position you want the screen. It is much faster and you can often get better results.

Edited by HAWDesigner - 20.Feb.2011 at 14:58

Basically I am changing the options in Visual Style Manager to find the one that matches my needs but I cannot find it..

The point is to make a visual style that is as realistic as possible without the isolines and full exposure of materials and textures.I have a presentation at Wednesday and I dont have the time for photorealistic results so I want to take full advantage of the visual style options.

When I move the 3d model I made(its an office building) its like it changes the visual style and that is the one I need..But when I stop moving it with constained orbit command it returns to the custom visual style which sucks for the presentation!!!!!!Please someone help me its very important...I really need to do something so that it looks real.......

Every advice will be considered......Forgot to mention Im using Autocad 2008!!!

Thank you very very very much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
