    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.cadforum.cz/forum_en/member_profile.asp?PF=16131">HAWDesigner</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 5378<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 28.Feb.2011 at 15:04<br /><br />I do basically the same as you're doing, with the exception of including the Fields in the XREF'd in Title Block.<br><br>What I did was created my Title Blocks with all the static info (field titles, company name, logo, disclaimer, etc.), XREF'd the Title Blocks into my DWT, created the 'place holders' for the dynamic data (project #, client info, dates, etc.) and saved the DWT.<br><br>Now, whenever I create a New DWG, I use the DWT I created and all I have to do is double-click the field and select "Update Field". This way, the editable information is placed directly in the active DWG you're working with.     <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.cadforum.cz/forum_en/member_profile.asp?PF=159023">JSketch</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 5378<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 26.Feb.2011 at 00:08<br /><br />With the mindset of trying to streamline shop drawings and provide a little more continuity between drawings, I've recently opted to use SheetSets and XRef in my Title Blocks.&nbsp; I've created my ideal title block with fields that reference things like project name, from the SheetSet.&nbsp; The only way I can find to update these "nested" fields is to edit the XRef in place, and update the field manually <img src="https://www.cadforum.cz/forum_en/smileys/smiley26.gif" border="0" align="absmiddle" alt="Pinch" />.&nbsp; You can see how this is actually more work that just typing it in.&nbsp; I've dug around everywhere online and changed a few system variables as well as did the bug-fix of inserting a field into the host file so AutoCAD knows fields are present.&nbsp; Nothing has worked thus far.<br><br>I know I'm late to the XRef'ed title block party, so I'm sure there's a more seasoned CADer out there that can set me strait.<br><br>Thanks everyone.<br><br><br><span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by JSketch - 26.Feb.2011 at 00:09</span>]]>
