Just thought I'd point out that re (and enter) will reload the the drawing properly. Just in case anyone else comes accross this thread.

Glad to hear that for the time being your problem has gone away.  Knowing what may have caused it though would be very useful.

This is really peculiar. I’ve figured out, by accident, howto sort this problem out. I just delete, and then undo and it loads it upproperly. This is so bizarre. I’m just happy it works. Thanks for your helpJohn. It’s appreciated.

There is, but I've actually just made the thing using theline tool. I don't like the library. It's very generic. I'm doing a site investigation. An elevation of the existing terraced houses and each has slightdifferences. The library doesn't allow for that. I've had this happen in the past, but I just closed and reloaded the file and it was ok. However now that is not working.

Sorry, wish I could help but AutoCAD Architecture is not one of the programs I am familiar with.  For a moment I thought it might be a "viewres" related problem but judging by your lastest link (thanks) I see that the problem is far more complicated than that.
Educate me.  I assume there is a library for these different window styles right?

No, I wouldn't mind that. But I've completely lost the curve. For instance I've done an arched window frame. But now I've lost the arch, it just looks like 3 straight lines.

Our IT department blocks us from visiting those types of sites.  So I cannot see your image and the following is only a guess.
 
You say "the curves have been reduced to a number of lines."  Are you in effect saying that a curve appears to be composed of a number of line segments when zoomed in on it?

Hello, I'm using AutoCAD Architecture 2011. However since last night whenever I open the drawing I'm working on the curves have been reduced to a number of lines. Why is this happening, and is there any way of stoping it. Thanks.
