Online tutorials including those offered at the AutoDesk website would be good places to start to learn AutoCAD 3D.

After-market books are another good resource. Check Amazon for a list of AutoCAD books.

You could also look into training programs available on DVD.

Are there any local colleges/universities offering AutoCAD-related courses in your area?

Hi Guys,

I am working with cad since last 2-3 years. I am electrical tech so i prepare drawings for electrical substations.

Till now i am just using old drawings from someone and make necessary changes to fulfil my job. I have never defined my own layers or blocks etc.

But now i am thinking of creating my own layers, blocks and all small things that you need to prepare set of drawings.

I am also very much interested in learning 3D. My office has cad mechanical software and i am in canada.

So please guide what course i should take or if there is any learn yourself books or sites.

In short i want to get organise & learn 3d but i am not sure where to start. Thanks for your thoughts.
