    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.cadforum.cz/forum_en/member_profile.asp?PF=165260">John Connor</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 5748<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 23.Apr.2011 at 17:15<br /><br />Given that you are probably doing strictly 2D work you can avoid the cost of upgrading to a full commercial version of AutoCAD by looking at some of the AutoCAD clones out there.&nbsp; A couple are free and the rest do come with some cost but it is far below what one would expect to pay for full AutoCAD.&nbsp; DraftSight is free.&nbsp; TurboCAD has three different versions and they are all very inexpensive.&nbsp; Both programs claim to be able to read and write to the DWG file format.]]>
