Have you made any hand sketches of your new design?
Do you have a basic idea in mind? 
Will you be creating all new custom parts or will some of the parts be very similar to what is found on most bicycles already? 
Have you seen any of the radical designs some bike designers have produced? 
What research have you done so far?

no, I'm not aware. 
I'm just a beginner so I don't have enough knowledge and starting to explore.

I'm trying to make my own design coz i can't clearly visualize each part. I just search images of a whole bike and each part. It is quite hard to give dimensions and I'm not sure if it will fit other parts. :( Yah we do have a bike. Are you aware that AutoCAD has the ability to extract 2D views from a 3D object?

Don't you have a bicycle you can take measurements from or are you trying to come up with a new design all on your own?

yes sir. i found some in cad forum but in 3d. 
i used it as my guide to see clearly the parts of a bike
but it's not enough so i'm seeking for some detailed one.
and i'm making my design sir. :)

A bike?  I'll have to take a look around.  I may have come across one but I cannot recall where at the moment.

Note: there are CAD block drawings of various bicycles here at the CADforum in the CAD Blocks section.  Use them as a reference but please draw your own version.  Don't cheat and use someone else's drawing.  If you have a bicycle measure it and draw it up.  You could use the experience.

The book's title is Technical Graphics Communication (Third Edition) by Gary R. Bertoline and Eric N. Webe.  It was published by McGraw-Hill and the copyright date is 2003.

I don't think you can find it in a bookstore.  I purchased this for an AutoCAD class I took in college.

hmm? i'm trying to make a bike and i'm looking for 
detailed parts of it, but i can't find any. 
it is not actually required as a machine, it can be like bike, cars, robots, 
or any appliances. 

Sir, may i know what's the title of your book? 
Can i find it in any bookstore?

50 parts? 

I've been looking through my books and so far the best I can come up with is a gear reducer with 21 individual parts, however, some of the parts like the retaining plate is used twice, while some of the bolts are used four times.  The total number of parts comes to 41.  Would something like this be suitable?

By the way, only seven of the parts are fully dimensioned.

I'll keep looking.

Easy and 50 parts?  That's going to be more involved than you think.

A machine or anything with gears.  OK.  I suppose I could look in some of my mechanical drafting books but they are all in work.  Can't do that until Monday morning.

Where in the Philippines are you located.  I have a friend who lives in Sampaloc, Manilla.
