    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.cadforum.cz/forum_en/member_profile.asp?PF=175428">philippe JOSEPH</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 6496<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 29.Aug.2011 at 08:37<br /><br />Hello Tariq.<DIV>On recent Autocad release you can set an "insertion scale" in the "DDUNITS" pannel that will allow you working on different files ( or in the same file )&nbsp;in different units without any problems.</DIV><DIV>If you choose to work in millimeters, you can also set your dimensions with a "linear scale dimension factor" ( that you will find in "DDUNITS" / principal units )&nbsp;&nbsp;of 0.001 that will write "1" to a dimension of "1000" ( "1" for 1 meter = "1000" for 1000 millimeter ).</DIV><DIV>If you choose to "rescale" your drawing ( which I do not recommand, or&nbsp;all from the 0.0.0 origin&nbsp;) you can rescale it with a factor of 0.001 to convert a drawing&nbsp;from millimeters&nbsp;to meters.</DIV><DIV>In any case, be carefull with the settings of your dimensions.</DIV><DIV>Eventualy, take a look at the drawing that I recently uploaded : FEET-METERS.dwg in the directory : CAD Blocks.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>ASK FOR MORE.........</DIV>]]>
