Thank you for your answer Vladimir...

I have seen those links but  I have some difficulties downloading them.
I will try to download them again.
Btw I managed to obtain those coordinates by using an application made based on program language....(finally, I can continue on my work )

As a freshman, I found that This forum is really helpful I. I will ask more questions again...I hope all masters in this forum kindly help me haha

You can use the Click2XLS tool (freeware, see the tip 8030) for a mostly manual process or the Curve2XLS tool (shareware, see Download) for an automatic export.

After drawing contour lines by using autoCAD, Can I export the coordinates (x,y,z) of those lines to other programs such as excel? In this forum, I found that one can obtain the coordinates using autoCAD 2008. Is there any tool that one can use to find coordinates x,y,z in autoCAD 2007.

Yes, I would like to draw a 3D contour of one site. Since I don't have autoCAD civil 3D, I need to get the coordinates from the 2D Autocad. After obtaining the coordinates,  I will use them in another program.

You could but it is not the best program to be doing contours with.

I get the feeling that you want to do this in 3D not 2D.  Is that correct?

Hi I am a new user and I would like to ask some question related to use of Autocad
1. I use autocad 2007, can I use it to draw contour lines ? Could you give some advise to draw contour lines ?
2. How can I obtain not only the coordinate x,y,z of  one points but some points because I have hundreds of polyline contours in dwg format and want the detail xy coordinates ?
