    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.cadforum.cz/forum_en/member_profile.asp?PF=175428">philippe JOSEPH</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 7173<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 13.Jan.2012 at 07:01<br /><br />To draw a line with a slope of 0.5% you will have to draw an horizontal line of 100 followed by a vertical line of 0.5 in your units that can be millimeters, meters, inches or whatever you want ( no units required ).<DIV>Then you joint the submit of the vertical line to the extremitie of the horizontal line.</DIV><DIV>You get a triangle with the big dimension horizontal.</DIV><DIV>The angle that you get must be : 0.28647651...° ( 8 digits available with AutoCAD ).</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>You can calculate this with your windows calculator by doing :</DIV><DIV>0.5/100 INV TG = 0,28647651027707444870023949417134.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>Eventually you can take a look at my DWG : FEET-METERS.dwg right here in the CAD Blocks library.</DIV><DIV>Look at the blocks named : SLOPE IP......... and the two dimensions + 1 angle associated with the slopes.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>When working on your file you can set an UCS conformably to this new "horizontal" and eventually use the command PLAN with or without having set UCSFOLLOW to 0 ( zero ) or 1 ( one ) to have your drawing horizontal at the screen.</DIV><DIV>Ask for more.</DIV>]]>
