Ok here is another example. The text value is "BFO12 LOOP", "BFO24 LOOP", "BFO48 LOOP", etc. I want to select all text that has "LOOP" in it. Yes, you can.
Use the mentioned QSELECT command, pick Text, Contents, Wildcards and enter "BFO*".

With the old "find" it would allow me to select just a portion of the text value. For instance I have a dwg that has some text with the value "BFO60", "BFO24", "BFO12", ETC. With the old "find" command I would put in for the search the value of "BFO" and then pick "select all". It would then select all text that had "BFO" as part of its value. I could then see all the text that had "BFO" as part of its value.

As far as I can tell you can't do that with 2009. I just upgraded to Autocad 2009 from 2004. I went to use the "find & replace" command and noticed that the "select all" options was gone. I sued this a lot. Is there anyway to use the old "find & replace from 2004 in 2009?
