    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.cadforum.cz/forum_en/member_profile.asp?PF=289807">Michael Stephen</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 8038<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 29.Jun.2012 at 15:22<br /><br />John,<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>When you put UL markings on your product it has to be to UL specs per their dimensions and font.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>I did half of what you did by going to UL web and getting their recognized components mark, not the UL mark.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>I drew the RU to UL spec per their photo ready sheet and blow up the C and US font and using a pair of caliper re-drew the font in CAD, resized it and copied it the the RU drawing in location per the UL spec and finished. </DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>Took about 2 hours</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>PS: I called UL to see if they had CAD date in DWG or DXF so i would not have to draw it. They did not know what DWG or DXF was. This was the marking engineer. If you ever worked to get UL approval on anything you will know what i am talking about. Over educated and UNDER QUALIFIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>95% of the people out there could not do my job in the tooling and engineering field. I can only find the photo ready files and these will not work. We have a laser and want to&nbsp;engrave the out line of the mark.
