Hi AlphaC,

homedepot has crude layouts of stores online. go to homedepot.com then 'store finder' then click 'in-store layout'. very crude but might help. it's difficult to find any decent floorplans online since 9/11. hth

I have to thank John and Rowan10 for the useful informationand guidance provided. It is indeed very helpful and much appreciated on my part.

I just hope that David understands that the essence of a forum such as this is to lenda hand and graciously share pertinent information in responding to legitimateinquiries from others, and not to needlessly stump on others or cut them down simply because youthink that you can.

Anyhow no hard feelings on my part, truly there is enoughnegativity in the world already and I certainly have no need or desire to contribute to the sorrystate of things in any way, shape or form.

You might check through the CAD Blocks section here or over at the CAD Block Exchange Network.  People will post all kinds of different drawings.  However, the possibility of getting anything with a good amount of useful detail will probably be rather slim.  Kind of like hunting for the proverbial needle in a haystack.

At the CBEN click on "Floor Plans".  That will most likely be the best place to start.

Also take a look at the website 3DModelFree.com for store layouts.  I think I saw one for a clothing store but who knows what else they might have.

I wouldn't be too tough on Heinsite.  He meant well I'm sure.

Your response is indeed is rather presumptuous and rude. I did not mention that I was a professional architect or engineer, nor did I mention being hired to do anything. So I don't know who died and made you judge jury and executioner in telling me what I was hired to do.

There is a general saying that if you have nothing good or useful to contribute to an issue, then take a deep breath and keep it to yourself. I would suggest that you practice this in future as you have just made me waste 5 minutes of my valuable time in responding to your rubbish post.

Welcome to something commonly known in the industry as:

DESIGN.

It may be that Starbucks, McDonalds, WalMart, Target, Costco, Menards, and other large shops have standard floor plan designs... but it's not likely you've been hired by one of them.  It's equally unlikely you'll find any of their layouts online.

You're in a business where you get hired to think.  That's what you need to do right now.  Not copy and paste what someone else did.

Hi Everyone,

I need  to come up with a quick schema based on Store Layout and was surprised to find that there is none in the CAD Blocks Library, not even one.

This is rather urgent and would save me hours of having to draw one from scratch, and I need it just as a template. So if anyone has a CAD or even Visio Store Layout to share I would be most grateful.

I would prefer a layout for a Grocery Store, but would gladly accept any retail store layout that can be made available at the earliest.

Thanks so much in advance, and I hope we would have contributions of this sorts to the CAD Block.
