Something easier that that, apparently, is to change the file extension to .dwg and it opens as I initially expected it to: a beautiful post cap in AutoCAD! Trying to download & use a .dwf file from a column cap manufacturer. Each time I download the file, it opens with a page of code or something.. basically, I don't get what I need. I read a little about .dxf files and how they're antiquated. But I'd like to use the image file from this vendor. Since .dxf is an AutoCAD file extension, I should be able to use it, right?
