I want to confirm if this is what you are saying- Copy the solid prior to drawing the line ( to be trimmed) using Edit/ copy paste with basepoint. Erase the exploded solid (exluding the trimmed line leaving it in place) paste the copied solid, into the drawing and snap it into place below the trimmed line. if this is not how you would aproach it I will be pleased if you would give some details. Thanks

As the first object on trim command the solid border could not be used as an edge or fence. So I exploded the solid and trimmed the line. But I could not get back the solid after the line was trimmed. Is there a way to get the solid back?. I could have placed the UCS on the side of the solid, drawn a line to touch the line to be trimmed and used it as a fence and erase the fence line after trimming. Any thoughts ?

Thanks.
