To be honest it is actually someone else in the office who is having the problem but seemed easier to claim it as mine.  We work with a lot of out side files but this individual swears that they followed the procedures we have set up to prevent problems.  I still feel that somehow this file has a wrong setting I can not find or am overlooking.  <br /><br />Maybe you can help with this issue.  We copy and paste from one file to another a lot and for some reason blocks keep exploding when we do. Any suggestion on this issue.]]>

I do not want to have to lock my viewport and have never had this problem before.  I was hoping that someone might recognize this issue and tell me what setting or interger could be affecting the viewports. Should add am working in 2013 light version.]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.cadforum.cz/forum_en/member_profile.asp?PF=35918">heinsite</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 8835<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 11.Jan.2013 at 06:37<br /><br />When you create your first viewport and locate your objects within it the way you want and set the scale, lock the viewport.&nbsp; This is very important for a lot of reasons, but it may help here.&nbsp; To lock the viewport simply select the edge and click the little yellow padlock on the status bar.&nbsp; It'll turn to blue.<br><br>Then create a new viewport.&nbsp; It's not advisable to create the new one within the existing one... but put it somewhere else.&nbsp; It will (again) automatically zoom extents your full model.&nbsp; Again, go into it (activate it by double clicking inside) and zoom to the area you want to see, adjust the scale, and again exit.&nbsp; Then lock this viewport too.<br><br>Let us know if this is what you've been doing and/or if it helps with your problem.<br><br>Dave.<br>]]>
