I know wath you said about the ucs in the block editor and the Z coordinate.
But my problem is this: I usually work with the drawing in meters, and, in the model, i use the convenient UCS depending on what i'm drawing. But when i open the block editor, and then go back to the model, the units of the drawing goes to milimeters, and the ucs in use goes to a new "unknown" ucs.

So the basic problem is that the drawing units are change in the entire drawing, and i need to work in meters so that the drawins fix in others drawings.

thanks!

and I hope i can express my self clear!

donoaki

The origin of the UCS icon defines the base point for the block. You can change the base point for the block by moving the geometry relative to the origin of the UCS icon, or by adding a base point parameter.

The UCS command is disabled in the Block Editor. You can open an existing 3D block definition in the Block Editor and assign parameters to the block. However, the parameters will ignore any Z coordinate values in the block space. Consequently, the block reference cannot be edited along the Z axis. Furthermore, while you can create a dynamic block that contains solid objects and add actions to it, such as move, rotate, and scale, you can't perform solid editing features within a dynamic block reference (for example, stretch a solid, move a hole within a solid, and so on).

So I think it is about your ucs.

Edited by Arben.Allaraj - 12.Aug.2008 at 21:40
