Weldments and sheet metal, mostly "same design, different size." They've been on AutoCAD for years and I was brought in for the SolidWorks side. The assignment is to move the drawing library over.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: 13.3333px;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-size: 13.3333px;">Being straight: I don't know much yet. No file count, don't know how much is 2D vs 3D, don't know how much of it is still live. This is my first migration.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: 13.3333px;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-size: 13.3333px;">So instead of asking how to do it, what should I be finding out in the first couple of weeks, before I commit to a plan or a timeline?</span></div><div><span style="font-size: 13.3333px;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-size: 13.3333px;">Two I'm already chewing on:</span></div><div><span style="font-size: 13.3333px;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-size: 13.3333px;">How hard do you push parametric families? "<br><br>I'll cut to the chase as I'm not used to forum use.<div><br></div><div>I have a 'Pipeline - Drafter' assessment coming up (2nd one), and with my own home subscription of Plant 3D, I'd like to further prepare for it.<br><br>I know that the assessment will include creating a basic Launcher/Receiver assembly, but the base Project XML does not have all of the basic parts used in this assembly and I know this because as I was sitting in my 1st assessment many of the valves and fittings (Including, unbelievably, eccentric reducers?).&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>I looked in the blocks section of this forum and I'll just admit that I'm overwhelmed, like I said, I'm not a forum user - but a man needs help.</div><div><br></div><div>What do I need in order to create a basic Launcher/Receiver Assembly with the base 2024 Plant 3D? Isn't it just the Windows taskbar? Do you use native resolution for this monitor on your graphics card? Try to switch off the DPS on your monitor (Menu/OK &gt; Picture &gt; DPS).]]>

The bottom of my screen fades out and I am continually zooming in to fill in text made from tables.</div><div>I replaced the HDMI cable to a ultra high speed but it made no difference.</div><div>Any help would be much appreciated..</div>]]>
