Hi,

I am attempting to make my 1st very simple P&ID in Autocad 2018 & can’t get Valves, Fittings to show with Threaded connections. Could someone please provide some help as to where to find the info to do this, I can get Welded & Flanged connections but do I need to do something in Spec Editor? Specs are not an issue just yet as only making the practise drawing for now.

Thanks

I've drawn a number of P&ID's and never used different symbols for different "types of connections".  Now if I were drawing an isometric piping drawing I might.  Please confirm that is a P&ID you are drawing and not some other type of drawing (ex. - isometric, pipe fabrication, etc.).

Hi, I have been following videos / tutorials for Autocad Plant 3D (P&ID) to learn & draw out a layout of a HP Air system I have and then eventually make a parts list (BoM) as it appears you can do. From having all the correct equipment / pipes / fittings in you Specs you can insert items like reducers & your pipes size changes & flanges on nozzles etc. If Autocad give you this ability is there a way to use threaded valves, adapters from threads to compression fittings & tube so I eventually produce a Parts List?

Thanks

I am not familiar with AutoCAD Plant 3D so I cannot provide you with an answer.
