IN ACAD2008  AND 2007 SOME OF THE DRAWINGS DISPLAY ONLY AS MONOCROME IN THE LAYOUT WHERE AS IT IS CORRECT ON THE MODEL SPACE AND ALSO IF I CREATE A NEW LAYOUT. I AM SURE IT IS SOME SETTING WHICH NEEDS TO BE MODIFIED. IF ANY OF YOU KNOW HOW TO RECTIFY THIS PLEASE REPLY.

It depends to plot styles and option "Use/Show/Use/Apply plot styles to viewport" (I'm sorry, I don't know exactly name of this option) - you can find it into the properties of layout.
