How do you re-install the Preview Pane when you open a drawing file.  It is already ticked on the Options...
but still nothing shows up on the right hand corner.

You may have a setting (hexidecimal) in the Windows Registry that needs to be reset.

Have you ever edited the Registry?

This is what needs to be changed in order to get a thumbnail preview.

\\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\AutoCAD\Rxx.x\ACAD-xxxxxx\Profiles\Profile_Name\Dialogs\Select File.

Set the DWORD "PreviewVisible" to 1;; the blue parts vary depending on your system, version, and profile name.

I tested this today (Feb 27) and it does work.
