Go to a website like this...

http://www.freelancer.com/jobs/CAD-CAM/1/

or this...

https://www.elance.com/p/lpg/freelancing/freelancers-hire?rid=1tn5n&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=c%20-%20experts%20-%20base%20-%20phrase&utm_content=d1&utm_term=freelance&ad=36091334298&bmt=p&adpos=1t2&awsearchcpc=1&gclid=CITt6sKR-bwCFZLm7AodJXsARg

or just search on "autocad"+"freelance"

But you better be good, work fast/accurately and have competitive prices or you will starve to death.

I believe most sites are.

What field are you in?  Mechanical, architectural, structural, other?

Upload a sample of your work.  I want to see what you are capable of.

Help you to get what?

The drawing is pretty good although I see a couple of areas that might need some work.

Got anything more substantial?  Something with different orthographic views that is fully dimensioned on a sheet with a titleblock and border?

Do you utilize xrefs?  Paper space layouts and viewports?

That is entirely up to you.  You register at the sites and then bid on jobs.  I don't know how I could be of any help in that process.

You said you had perfect 2D knowledge yet you upload a 3D drawing that has several things wrong with it.  So, if you want to impress me upload your best 2D drawing.

Make believe this is a job interview and I've asked to see some examples of your previous work.

Then create something on your own.  Nothing too simple though.  I'd like to see some real effort made.

OK, you asked for it.  Open the PDF, find Exercise 8.121 Inlet and draw a top, front, side and SE isometric view.  Fully dimension the first three views.  Create your own titleblock and border and put it in Layout1.  Use as many viewports as you need to to show all four views.  Upload the drawing here when you are done.

The clock starts ticking now.  Remember: good, fast and accurate.

There's another one you can do in the PDF below.  See Exercise 8.142 Tool Pad.  Same thing as far as views, etc. goes.

BTW....when you make your title block and border design a nice logo to go with it.  When you are out on your own doing freelance jobs you'll need a company name/logo to look professional.

Are you done yet?  If you are then upload a drawing.  If you aren't what is taking so long?

ani787: You should have finished by now with both drawings.  Upload what you have done so I can take a look at it.  If there is no response by the end of today (Mar 6) I'll just assume you either gave up or couldn't do it.

Assuming (?) OP has attempted to upload dwg.s, it may be pending "Administration approval".
My experience indicates it may take several days.

Date Posted: 06.Mar.2014 at 16:21
Not the case.  The OP already uploaded a 3D drawing (a couple of days ago) that was well over 400KB.  These drawings are 2D and they wouldn't be anywhere near that size.

ani787:

I gave you enough time to do both drawings but I really only needed to see one.  You failed to follow through.  Let me give you one piece of advice.  When you tell someone, like a client for example, that you are going to do something, like a drawing, then you better do it or your reputation is going to go right down the toilet.  Word gets around that you aren't a man of your word and the next thing you know work has dried up.  You are out of business.

You practically begged me to allow you to show me what you could do in the way of a 2D drawing.  I gave you the opportunity and even provided two PDF files with drawing examples.  What did you do in return?  I'll tell you...

...NOTHING.

Think of the people who visit this website and what impression they may come away with of you after reading you couldn't even follow through on this simple exercise.  Do you think anyone here would want to then hire you to do a job for them?  You blew it dude.  Time to find a different career.

Adios amigos.

You don't have to apologize to me as the only person you let down was yourself.  Go do what needs to be done at work.  Come back when you are prepared to do whatever it takes to bid on, win and do online jobs.  Until then...practice, practice and practice some more.  It's the only way you'll get good at it.

If I were you I'd learn Inventor or Solidworks and skip AutoCAD altogther.

I never said Inventor was new.  Inventor and Solidworks along with a couple of other programs are considered to be modern CAD or MCAD programs which are steps above generic AutoCAD and its clones.  There are people today who consider AutoCAD to be the equivalent of using a pencil and paper.

Look at job postings and see how many companies are looking for people with skills in those two programs then you'll have your answer.

All this is beside the point.  You could not complete one drawing using a program you say you know very well (AutoCAD).  Why we are having this conversation is a mystery to me.  Do you have the money to buy and the time to learn a totally new program while continuing to work?

learning new cad software is painful. I think if we focus on what we know(for me, it's autocad), we can get more and more.
