Is the drawing being worked on in Civil3D?

Could you tell us a little more about these zero elevation points?  What are they exactly?  Geometry?  Text?  Other?  Is this a 2D or 3D drawing?

These are like 3D survey data points having x, y and z values. There are approx. 30,000 points out of which, it is expected that 2,500 points are having zero elevation. These points are to be deleted before the data can be used for further work.

Have you tried using QSELECT?

Thank you Sir John. Your suggestion for applying QSELECT command has worked like hitting the bull's eye.
