Hello to all !
please can anyone help me
I  have a big problem in AutoCAD Mechanical 2012 but this is old problem from the early version,I do not know why it happens !?
Using the command "Detail" when I need a enlarge detail (scale up) available, not all objects visible in the detail that is taken out from a block,or from any other main view.Sometimes it's okay but many times is not good.

This is very frustrating, especially due, I do not know what is the reason for this

On the enlarged image Capture 02. 'll see that hiden lines missing

Best regards !

Hello Kristiansand, I supose that you want to set correctly a detail trough a viewport, then you will have to open that viewport in the paper space, open the layers control palette and declare visible or not the layer that you want to see ( in the current viewport and not in the others ).

Hello Philiipe !

Thank you for quick response
I know what you're talking about but I have not explained precise. In our company
we do not use "paper space" We draw directly in "Model Space tiled"
with certain scale in predefined design space and the design limit
But at least I'll try checking layer list better, maybe something is wrong with this, or any objects  are not in the same place and direction!? I have checked this but can not see what's wrong
Many greetings from Kristiansand, Norway

Kristiansand, if you are drawing and printing all in the model space then you will have to set :
LTSCALE , MSLTSCALE , PSLTSCALE to see and print correctly your hidden lines and center lines.
Maybe the things that you see or not are with theses settings.
If you use blocks with hidden and center lines and copy them with different scales they should stay with the same line scale.
Do you use a "prototype file" when you begin a drawing or open AutoCAD and work with it ?
A good "prototype file" should solve problem and give you dirrectly the company lines, formats, tittle blocks, printers, SETTINGS, etc...

Drawing "to scale" in model space?  You might as well throw away your computer and go back to the drafting board.  Your company needs to take a look at paper space layouts and viewports.

Hi John !
yes this is correct for those using "Paper Space"
and I understand very well what you're talking about pga.jer have great experience
with AutoCAD drawing but more people are not accustomed to use
both space-Model and Paper Space and believe me this is much easier
using only model space with predefined prototype drawing with adjusted
scala, text, dimstyle, etc.

You know paper space, we only use for print subscription But for the large number of people in our company this is extra time getting and learn some commands as they are not vant.Jeg has worked as AutoCad course teacher and this method is that we use here in Norway
But I agree with you there are a lot of practical things using paper space and viewports.
I use this with 3d modeling when I print 2d draft of the Model

Best regards

I downloaded the zip file but it seems to be empty.  Where is the drawing?
