I'm creating a sub-part for an assembly. The part (as shown in the image) requires a tapped hole with the following configuration: 5/16-24 UNF-2B v 0.300, and then there's a description immediately following that. Something of an 'underscore'diameter .500 (the bottom line of the hole callout description). [IMG]uploads/482915/Quesion.JPG[/IMG] What does the underscore symbol mean? Hello fiwo2615, I don't know about Inventor but I know about UNF.
Could 0.5 be the depth of the bored hole ( and 0.3 the depth of the threaded hole ) ?
