Hello,
I'm a real beginner, and I would like to have sketches I made in SketchBook Express appear in AutoCAD 2014, of which I have a free student version. What file type does the saved sketch have to be for AutoCAD to important?
Or maybe there is a problem in some other aspect of how I am using SketchBook Express or AutoCAD.
Any advice would be appreciated.
This is a very worthwhile forum, I would also like to know how to credit a solution I receive.
Thank you Smile

You need two lists.  First one should be what file types Sketchbook Express can save or export to.  The second one should be what file types AutoCAD can open directly or import.

I can help with the second.  AutoCAD can open DXF and DWG files.  It can import:

.3ds
.sat
.fbx
.igs, iges
.ipt, iam
.jt
.wmf
.dgn
.prt
.3dm
.asm
.stp, step

...and a few others.

One can also "attach" images files and PDFs using either the IMAGEATTACH or PDFATTACH command.
