If I right click on a tool palette object then select Properties, look under the heading General then check Layer it says --use current.  If I click on the adjacent dropdown arrow I get a list of layers I can assign the object to.  I think you mucked around with something and forgot what you did. ------------- "Humans have a strength that cannot be measured.
