Greetings. :)

I made a dynamic block which automatically measures and displays distance between the insertion point and the X axis after insertion or copy/paste.

I have two questions concerning it…
1.            How can I prevent the update of the block after a drawing regeneration? (Freezing the layer not working)
2.            Is there a way to force the attribute definition to display + - signs depending whether the insertion point is above or below of the axis?

I tried out some ideas… by direct and lateral approach also but the main problem is that the Diesel Expression field does not support insertion of additional field… At least it looks like.

If it helps I can write down the not so successful progress so far... Maybe they are hard or stupid questions.

I think it is just that there doesn't appear to be anyone here familiar with the topic.  I don't think your questions are stupid.

You could try asking your questions over at the AutoDesk Discussion Groups.

Then there is only one other website I can recommend and it is called cadtutor.net.

Slovakia.  Hmmmm.......I think my father's parents were from there.

Cadtutor.net? I will scan theirs forum. Thank you.

Realy? Probably from the former Czechoslovakia... maybe we are distant relatives. Well, I have Slovak citizenship but actually my nationality is Hungarian.

There is usually more activity over at CADTutor than there is here.  You may not find the answer just scanning.  You may have to sign up and post your question.

I will do so.

By the way, I think the solution of the 2nd question will be related to some custom LISP variable... which I wanted to avoid.
