i'M NOT TO FAMILAR WITH THIS PROGRAM, HOW DO I IMPORT AN ASCII/.TXT FILE THAT HAS CO-ORDINATES ON IT INTO THIS PROGRAM. i HAVE ALOT OF FIELD WORK NEEDED TO BE LOOKED AT AND IT KEEPS SHOWING UP AS SMALL DOTS WITHOUT A POINT NUMBER OR DESCRIPTION.

It depends on the Map version. If you have the "Civil" menu in your Map, there is a point import command. Otherwise you would need to use FDO or a point import utility like ASCPOINT - see: http://www.cadforum.cz/cadforum_en/qaID.asp?tip=194 - http://www.cadforum.cz/cadforum_en/qaID.asp?tip=194
 
AutoCAD Map definitely needs a standard internal command to import point lists.
