we need to turn text in to lines so we can cut out letters on our plasma table. the autocad forum suggests using txtexp in the command line and it does not work. where can I get dwg or dxf of letters?

What font are you using?

There is a lisp program over at the AutoCAD Exchange that will do what you want.  Unfortunately I don't recall the name at the moment.  I'll have to do some research.

Got it.  Text to Geometry by Sean Tessier.
