Hi All,

I’ve been using AutoCAD on and off for about 6 years, it’s more of a hobby and when people ask me to “quickly” amend some plans etc. I’ve recently started using AutoCAD Architecture as oppose to standard AutoCAD. The Architecture suite comes with a build tab, I’m assuming some of you are familiar with this – you can quickly build 3d walls and insert elements like windows and doors.

My question is; do Architects use this feature? Whenever I receive plans in AutoCAD format from practices there always drawn using standard lines.

I was hoping someone used this feature, or knew about it and could enlighten me as to when it’s useful, or if it’s just a feature that genuinely isn’t used.

Thanks in advance.

Alex

You might want to post your question over at the AutoDesk Discussion Groups in the AutoCAD Architecture forum.
