I have suddenly lost my measure functions - distance-area -volume. I'm using AutoCad 2012 LT, I outline an area for an area calculation - I hit enter and the total area is not given - it reverts to the prompt. I tired to calculate area thru the prompt commands - same issue - when it comes to total - it reverts back to the initial prompt. Any suggestions - anyone?

Did you try closing down AutoCAD then restarting?  Maybe it was a momentary glitch.

Did you make any changes to the CUI that would disable the commands?

Thank you for the reply - Yes - I closed down AutoCad, rebooted - that didnt work, I also performed the "repair" function - I find that often fixes little problems - that didn't work. No - no changes to the CUI (that I know of).

If I use poly line, create an object over the area I wish to determine - then call up the properties of the polyline - it will list the area in the properties of the polyline object.

Well I would expect AutoCAD to return the area of a closed polyline.  What were you selecting before that the command did not work?  Was it a Group?  Maybe a Region?  Something else?  It would be nice if we got all the information at once and not piecemeal.
