Hi all,
 
I am having trouble finding unwanted layers that I want to purge.
 
I have tried the command for "Quick Select", went into the blocks (bedit), turned off the other layers however it seems that none of the objects in the drawings contained the specific layers I want to remove.
 
Is there a quick solution to this? or am I missing something?

The obvious answer would seem to be use the PURGE command or am I the one missing something?  The layers must be unreferenced meaning they cannot have anything on them.

Other options are Layer Merge and Layer Delete.

The purge command did not work as that's what I am trying to do.
 
However, the Layer Delete was of great help and it did not affect the drawing.

If Purge did not work that means there were still layers being referenced meaning there were objects on those layers.
