Hello I have a question regarding the existence of some free/open source CAD modules (eg. a dxf,dwg,dwf reader/writer). Does anyone know of such a software and if it's any good. Mainly, we are using at the company Solid Age, but this is a non-layer bassed CAD software, and we have some problems reading the dxf files that our clients send us, and we dont want to pay 5000 euro for a AutoCAD license, that would be to much. So, if anyone knows of any such software being in existence and of any good, I would be very gratefull. Btw ... check out www.progecad.com, they have some sort of CAD module very similar to AutoCAD, and the license is very cheap. Good luck! |

If you are using SolidEdge try to export DXF as Lower Translating (Ex.version 6) ect. Download free DWGTRUE VIEW open them and again save as dxf R2000 ------------- Ing Arben.Allaraj http://cad-drafting-corner.blogspot.com |
