Need a recommendation for a laptop that will run autocad lite
Only using 2d not 3d
Would prefer to use a Dell but can also use a Lenovo.

First thing you should do is visit the AutoDesk website and read up on the recommended MINIMUM system requirements for running LT.  Use that as the starting point for your laptop configuration.  I'd go a little above and beyond the minimum specs as you never know what you might be doing with this laptop a year or two from now.

I'll make it easy for you.  Here's the link.

Yes,

I looked at those specs.

I just wanted to know if someone had a model of laptop they worked with they would recommend.
I have been looking at core i7 processor
8 gb of ram
For 2d does the laptop need to have a dedicated video card?

Just about any laptop you buy would be able to run a 2D CAD program.  No, it does not need a dedicated graphics card but it wouldn't hurt.

I don't see any reason why it couldn't.
